Proverbs 24:1 NIV

“Do not envy the wicked, do not desire their company;”

Most people would quickly say, and sincerely believe, they would never be envious of wickedness. They don’t particularly like wicked actions. What Solomon is referring to here is that it can be tempting to over look what someone does that makes them wicked while desiring the apparent benefits they get as a result of their wicked actions. They may even believe that they could have the same results and yet be a bit less wicked. The thing we need to own is that God despises every wicked act and motive. In other words there is nothing admirable or desirable about a wicked person or their benefits. God actually doesn’t care about outcomes apart from heart and motives. As we pursue holiness in our life the results will also be holy. That is who God is and what we are called to. Today pursue the calling to be Holy and watch your Holy God work. #BeTheEdge
