“If you falter in a time of trouble, how small is your strength!”
We have all known that individual who is very brave…until. Until adversity hits or maybe they hang tough for a little while but when the adversity continues longer than they expected they fold under the strain. I’m certainly not placing blame or criticizing. But, Solomon is. His point is that our faith is revealed under pressure more than anywhere else. We all know that it is easy to love Jesus and praise God when life is good. When we make the big sale there is no one praising God louder than us. And we should. However, what impacts a watching world is what they can see of our relationship with God during hard times. My wife was a beautiful representative of the God she loved and served throughout her life. As the watching community saw her walking through a very painful and debilitating 2 year cancer battle that eventually took her life on earth they saw her faith come alive. The depth and width of her faith in her Heavenly Father was clearly seen through her quiet witness. She struggled and cried out to Him but she never faltered in her firm belief in the vastness of His presence, love and power in her journey. Today walk in faith, hold firmly to God and His truth and watch your strength grow. #BeTheEdge
“And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.” 1 Peter 5:10 NIV
