Thanksgiving usually involves lots of busyness and distraction. It can be very easy to go through the day and miss one of the purposes of the day. Some where in all the fun and food find time to reflect on what you are thankful for. Maybe even find a moment to be sure the time of giving thanks is included with whoever is involved in your thanksgiving celebrations. Yesterday, after our tradition of me and the granddaughters making pumpkin pies for the thanksgiving meal, the seven year old and I were sitting in the living room relaxing. I asked her what she was thankful for. I was blessed to hear her list flow steadily off her lips. She began with mommy and daddy. Shortly after them came Jesus with a huge smile. Also making the list was life, air and ice cream. My heart was truly blessed. Noticeably absent was any technology or anything to do with technology. There was also no famous music, movie or social media stars. Her list was simple, non stop and pure. Like this little messenger we can refresh the souls of those around us by living and, when appropriate, speaking with thanks the great blessings of our creator God. Today let the blessing of your salvation flow gently from your life in acts of thanks giving. #BeTheEdge
