“It is the glory of God to conceal a matter; to search out a matter is the glory of kings.”
I love knowing what God is up to. Don’t you? Yeah, facetious much. As if that ever happens right. I mean of course sometimes we get a glimpse of what God is up to but most of the time, as the writer of Corinthians put it, “we see through a dark glass.” Now God on the other hand doesn’t have to search out the answer or details of anything. He knows it all and understands clearly exactly what is going on. It could be a world event, a natural catastrophe or a deeply intimate challenge. He gets it all. Doesn’t mean He likes it but He completely understands. He sees through our brokenness, selfish, hurting confusion and clearly sees what is going on. Thankfully He does and He stands ready to heal, redeem and restore. You see when you know exactly what is happening and why, and you are God, you know where to bring the healing that is needed. We can, at times, see what God sees. The danger is that we are tempted to act based on what we see. We cannot always know the reasons for what we see. He does. Solomons dad tells us to invite Him to search us and know us, to test our anxious hearts, to see the hurtful ways in us and then to, ultimately, lead us in His way. This is my prayer for me today. It’s also my prayer for my lost, confused and hurting loved ones. Today search out Gods truth for you, then live it. #BeTheEdge
