Proverbs 2:6 NASB

“For the LORD gives wisdom; From His mouth come knowledge and understanding.” Proverbs 2:6 NASB

I don’t know about you, but when I think of things coming from God’s mouth I typically look to the Bible. No doubt that is a great place to start. However, God speaks to us in and through multiple ways and people. It is vital to know His Word and realize that nothing from any other source will ever contradict what is in there. That being said, God has chosen to speak in an infinite number of ways. He certainly sent His Son to Earth to speak into our existence. John tells us in his gospel that Jesus was literally the “Word become flesh.” I love looking for what some people call God winks or God interruptions. One of my favorites and clearest this time of year is in the movie “A Charlie Brown Christmas.” In the midst of this fun story, Charles Schultz pauses and has Linus, blanket in hand, quote the original Christmas story from the Gospel of Luke. Nice God interruption. Some hear God speak of His vastness while looking at a sunset over the ocean. Others hear Him speak of His power as the Giver of Life when looking at the tiny hands of a newborn. It never ceases to amaze me how people, especially at this time of year, can truly say they don’t see God. I don’t see how you can miss Him. Today, lift your eyes, see God, and give Him a wink and a smile. #BeTheEdge
