Proverbs 27:14 NIV

“If anyone loudly blesses their neighbor early in the morning, it will be taken as a curse.”

Lots of people want to be known by their relationship with people they perceive to be important. They make a show of taking to them loudly when others are around to observe them. Often the one they are being loud with is more annoyed by them than anything else. There was a guy lived in our area named Jed. Jed always made a point of shouting something across the room whenever someone of influence entered. Usually a compliment or about something they had both been involved in. It was a very obnoxious habit. There are those who like to do the same thing with God. Maybe not shouting greetings but being sure everyone in ear shot heard how close they were to Him. They regularly let those around know that they are God’s favorite. That they are constantly working for Him and representing Him wherever they are. Now it is true that as His followers we are always His representative but that should be known through our lifestyles not because we are always telling everyone, loudly. God prefers our heartfelt gratitude in secret. Today live in such a way that your relationship with God is represented through love and kindness. #BeTheEdge
