Solomon believed there were different types of wealth. The biggest difference being between wealth that was gained in deceptive or schemes with little to no honest effort and that which was earned through hard, honest work. There is a reason over 70% of lottery winners go broke within the first few years of winning. Also those who gain their finances for the purpose of getting rich only as their top priority tend to be very stingy with their wealth because they know they didn’t really deserve what they have, gained it in unscrupulous and shady ways and therefore live, somewhat justifiably, with the fear of it being wanted by others and eventually being gone. It is a somewhat self fulfilling prophecy. Scripture tells us that the generous typically find themselves blessed with more. The principle is almost supernatural in its fulfillment. Those who are stingy do not lose theirs because they were eager to get it, it is because of the habits and patterns that a stingy, selfish attitude develop in the person. Because of their attitude as they accumulate stuff they also find it difficult to seek help when it is gone. This is an example of the later condition being worse that the first. This attitude creates a hardness of the heart. In the end they are a sad, broken, lonely person. Today be generous and kind and God will bless. #BeTheEdge
