Proverbs 30:5 NIV

“Every word of God is flawless; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him.” Proverbs 30:5 NIV

It won’t be long until you can shout, “Hey 2020, you couldn’t beat me. I’ve survived the worst you had and I’m marching boldly into 2021.” Ok, maybe not marching, or even boldly, for that matter. But you survived it and you are moving forward. One of my favorite passages comes from the great prophet Isaiah who said that as we wait on God we will “soar,” but if we don’t have soaring in us at the moment then He will help us run. And if we aren’t yet able to run, He will help us walk- to just take that next step. He also tells us that, “He gives strength to the weary and increases the power of the weak.” (Isaiah 40:29 NIV).  I’ll own that one. You see, even if 2020 beat the ever-living daylights out of you, God’s flawless Word guarantees that as our protector He will shield us as He guides us into whatever awaits. I have a good feeling about 2021 for all of us. Regardless of whatever political, economic, or social challenges await us, God is already there. He will shield and carry us onward and upward. Today, strengthen your walk with Him and follow His lead. #BeTheEdge

“…but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not be faint.” Isaiah 40:31 NIV
