“She selects wool and flax and works with eager hands.”
Some of the most virtuous people I know are also some of the most hard working. In this verse the writer is letting us know that the Proverbs 31 woman is also a diligent worker. She certainly could have stayed home enjoying her wealth and husbands status but she was having none of that. Recently I have become very aware of the fact that some of the most successful business leaders involved with The Edge ministry are close to 70 years old and above. They show up each day for work, usually at a company they own, and work a full day. They don’t need too. It’s just how they are built and what they know God has called them to do. Even those who don’t go to the office anymore have found places to use their talents serving and working on behalf of the kingdom. This is in no way taking a shot at those people who work hard all their adult life and find a way to relax and enjoy their golden years. However it is an encouragement to participate in life while you still have it. Today be aware of God’s opportunities for you to serve. #BeTheEdge
