“She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come.”
I never tire of this woman. I’ve mentioned often when we are in this chapter that I married her. Before God brought her home to wait for our family I watched her operate and impact our world with the strength and dignity the writer describes. And she had a way of laughing at the times in the most heartfelt way knowing what was coming. I knew her. But, so do you. There are women of faith all around us. Some of you reading this devotion reflect this truth. My daughter has the essence of her mom in her as well as the women in this chapter. This is a person desperately needed today. Women of grace and strength change the world. They do it without conflict. They don’t inflict pain. They invite us to see the world through strong, clear, wide open eyes of faith and understanding. They offer a gentle yet powerful wisdom that is sought after by the truly wise and Godly. It’s not a Southern thing although that doesn’t hurt. It is a deeply rooted and tested knowledge of God’s work like a prized piece of jewelry. Not showy of flashy but with a precious, subtle elegance. Today look for, listen to and honor the Proverbs 31 women in your story. #BeTheEdge
