“Her ways are pleasant ways, and all her paths are peace.”
Back in 1979 I married this person. This verse is a summation of the Proverbs 31 woman and Solomon wants to be sure his son recognizes the blessing of wisdom as seen in this person. A person guided by God’s wisdom not only receives peace but leaves peaceful ways in their paths. Those who walk life’s journey with them face the same struggles and trials as the rest of us who are cursed by the fallen nature of this world. However, in the midst of those challenges there is peace to be found and embraced. As my wife battled cancer for 2 years it was hard. In the midst I marveled as I witnessed the deep sense of peace that not only enveloped her but those of us who walked intimately with her through that journey. The wisdom of God led her and spilled over into the rest of us. To this day few know the intense pain and struggle that raged in her body as she lived out the presence and peace of knowing whose battle it really was. She once told me that she could not believe anyone would miss out on the intimacy with God because they feared the pain. I’m pretty sure I still don’t fully get it. Peace is easy at beautiful moments in life. It’s a powerful gift from our wise God in the dark places. Today find your peace in Him alone and share it. BeTheEdge
