Proverbs 3:5 NIV

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;”

i have been reading about Sir Issac Newton, a man many considered to be both the smartest and most intelligent person who ever lived. He certainly was impressive. Beyond just him though consider this description of the typical human brains capacity. “A human brain has roughly 100 billion neurons connected in labyrinthine ways by 100 trillion synapses. According to a 2015 estimate from the Salk Institute near San Diego, that amounts to an information storage capacity measured in petabytes – millions of gigabytes.” (Newscientist) Yeah, I can’t really follow all those words either. The point here is that God created the average person with an unbelievable capacity for learning and knowledge, something my 11th grade chemistry teacher kept trying to impart to me (sorry Mr. Klemits) So here is the point. As smart as some of us are, as intelligent as Sir Issac Newton was, none of us on our very best day have the infinite capacity of the God who created it all, including the finest human minds. We are so tempted to trust ourselves. How many marriages go wrong because they were based on a heart flutter without the input of God. Trust in the Lord not with part of your story. Not just the areas we figure are spiritual. Trust Him with every ounce of your life. He knows better. Today submit all of your life to His leadership. #BeTheEdge
