“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding;”
There is no way to predict or plan for all the curves life will throw at you. You can try, but you may end up very stressed and frustrated. You can also give up and live a very fatalistic life. The term “fatalistic” often relates to negative outcomes. If someone has a fatalistic attitude toward a situation, it means “they expect things to turn out badly and see no point in trying to change that outcome.” The Bible is not against planning; it actually encourages it. The key is to plan with a loose grip or even an open hand, realizing that our plans need to first include God’s input and consultation. It also requires a healthy realization that when He changes or tweaks our plans, it is never to hurt us but rather to assist us as He conforms us more to the image of His Son. As followers of Christ, we do not live with a fatalistic view of life. We live with an overwhelmingly optimistic understanding of who is really in charge of our journey. As we trust entirely in Him and not ourselves, we find a peace that goes beyond understanding. Today, trust and live boldly! #BeTheEdge
