Proverbs 8:24 NIV

“When there were no watery depths, I was given birth, when there were no springs overflowing with water;”

This verse is referring to the wisdom of God mentioned earlier in this verse. With that being understood we should have no difficulty understanding that it predated anything in this world, including this world and the universe it exists in. That wisdom has aged well. It almost feels a bit blasphemous to suggest that God’s wisdom needs validation. God’s wisdom has not shifted or changed one iota. It is, as is He, the “same yesterday, today and forever”. I suspect most of us have failed to ever fully grasp the depth of God’s wisdom. It is not fathomable by our finite minds. When we grasp even the smallest degree of what His wisdom looks like we operate with a degree of faith seldom seen in our world. The wisdom of God has a track record that He doesn’t need but graciously provides that leaves us even more without excuse than the men and women of Solomon’s day. We see it working its way through the history of our planet and even more clearly through His church. We have that history as a gift. We know of the empty tomb, the testimonies of Saints fleshing out the Sermon on the Mount and so much more that reveals a long history of the power and unalterable truth of God. We are truly without excuse when we live in doubt and fear and ignorance. Today walk confidently in the wisdom of your heavenly Father. #BeTheEdge
