“I was there when he set the heavens in place, when he marked out the horizon on the face of the deep,”
Mind officially blown. Christmas is a time of awe and wonder. No greater awe is seen by us than when we truly contemplate the incarnation – God becoming man. The other day our six-year-old granddaughter said from the back seat, “Hey Siri, play ‘Mary Did You Know?’ by Pentatonix.” Suddenly, my Bluetooth began playing the song and I let the lyrics float in my spirit:
“Mary did you know that your baby boy would one day walk on water? Mary did you know that your baby boy would save our sons and daughters?
Did you know that your baby boy has come to make you new?
This child that you’ve delivered, will soon deliver you.
Mary did you know that your baby boy will give sight to a blind man? Mary did you know that your baby boy will calm a storm with his hand? Did you know that your baby boy has walked where angels trod? When you kiss your little baby, you kiss the face of God.
Mary did you know that your baby boy is Lord of all creation?
Mary did you know that your baby boy would one day rule the nations? Did you know that your baby boy is heaven’s perfect lamb?
That sleeping child you’re holding is the great I AM.”
WOW! Mind officially blown. Read those lyrics again. . . slowly. Ponder the phenomenal truth in each line. Today, try, really try, to get a glimpse of the significance of the overwhelming reality of God coming to Earth as an infant. Again, mind completely blown! #BeTheEdge
