But little do they know that the dead are there, that her guests are deep in the realm of the dead.”
Satan does not advertise the consequences of sin. However, they are not all that difficult to see if you look. The eyes of the lost are blinded spiritually, preventing them from seeing the spiritual death that awaits them because of their sin. Yet even they can see many of sin’s consequences in the natural world. As a meth addict cannot hide the results of their actions for long, all sin takes its toll over time. Some would follow Satan’s temptations regardless of what they knew was coming. However, many would flee from it if they caught even a glimpse of the dark, hopeless suffering that awaits those who reject God. Satan is referred to as an angel of light. He is a genius at making sin look rewarding, desirable, and wise. We know it is not. Temptation is bold and in our faces. It knows many long for the temporary pleasure of sin and are not wise enough to truly grasp where it will lead. By sitting in the high places, sin is positioned in a very public place where it is seen by many. One of the most obvious distinctions between the lost and the saved is how clearly they recognize sin and its destructive power. Today, flee from sin and choose life. #BeTheEdge
