Proverbs 10:29 NKJV

“The way of the Lord is strength for the upright, But destruction will come to the workers of iniquity.”

When an athlete works with weights a very interesting process takes place. Best I understand, and hear me admit science is not my thing, when weights are lifted muscle is torn. As that torn muscle heals it multiples and growing strength is the end result. Here is the answer for the test, “After you workout, your body repairs or replaces damaged muscle fibers through a cellular process where it fuses muscle fibers together to form new muscle protein strands or myofibrils. These repaired myofibrils increase in thickness and number to create muscle hypertrophy.” How about that. Solomon tells us that as we stand firm in trials we may feel exhausted but it is in those battles that we grow in strength in our faith. Like the weightlifter, we feel the tearing apart of old ways and God rebuilds more and stronger faith in it’s place. It can be easy to believe the struggle is bad and even destructive. That is only true if we give in and quit during the challenges. If we battle through, God builds a new, stronger, powerful strength and faith. Today embrace the struggle and watch the growth happen. #BeTheEdge
