Proverbs 10:6 NIV

“Blessings crown the head of the righteous, but violence overwhelms the mouth of the wicked.”

I’m a movie guy. If there is one constant in films it is that there is almost always a redemptive ending. In other words you may go through the whole thing with it looking like the bad guy is sticking it to the good guy but in the end the good guy survives or comes out on top and the bad guy is caught. Even in most documentaries, about real life battles, the good guys win or there is at least a redemptive ending. Most people don’t want to spend their money to see the bad guy win. It’s deep in our nature. I would even say with confidence it was built into our soul. God is all about redemptive stories. It is the greatest reflection of His very nature. Solomon reassured us that those rightly aligned with their creator God will live a blessed life and more importantly have a blessed eternity. He also reminds us in this verse that a truly violent future awaits those who speak wickedly and therefore propose wickedness. Thankfully we have a choice about which we will be. Oh, we all start out broken, thanks Adam and Eve. However, there is a redemption waiting for all of us, daily. That’s right, God redeems us through Jesus on the cross but He also stands ready to redeem our story daily as we seek to live for Him. Today live the life of the redeemed and experience the goodness of God. #BeTheEdge

“Blessed is the one who perseveres under trial because, having stood the test, that person will receive the crown of life that the Lord has promised to those who love him.” James‬ ‭1:12‬ ‭NIV‬
