“Through the blessing of the upright a city is exalted, but by the mouth of the wicked it is destroyed.”
Every year this day gets a little more reflection by me. The blessing of the upright is a great phrase. The world, the communities and most especially a family is truly blessed by lives lived well to the glory of their creator. That describes Jennifer. 18 years ago this Fall she breathed her last on this planet and opened her eyes to her savior. She certainly blessed this community, many people in town knew of her or at least heard of her. It has been years since she went to her rest and reward, however very few weeks pass that someone doesn’t mention the impact of her life on them or someone close to them. Her 8 grandkids never met her yet they know of her love for God and the light she was to everyone she encountered. She is greatly missed. We all know these people. We see how much better the world is because they are in it. Interestingly many of them, like Jennifer, have little to no interest in all things political. They don’t really care much about popularity or being in the “right” crowd. They also tended to avoid gossip. They just live very normal, regular, beautiful lives with a supernatural impact. The source of that supernatural force is the Holy Spirit as a result of a sold out life to God. Today celebrate the Jennifer’s in your story and follow their example and be one of them. #BeTheEdge
