Proverbs 11:18 NIV

“A wicked person earns deceptive wages, but the one who sows righteousness reaps a sure reward.”

Great life advice but even more specifically good career advice. You can work to earn a living and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that. But, how about a higher goal. I recently met with a person helping get The Edge Ministry started in the St Pete/Tampa area. During our conversation he mentioned a mental transition that has affected a life perspective change for him that now comes with greater peace through God’s involvement in his entire story. His change is from viewing career and money as separate entities from so much of the rest of his life. He now sees those two as well as every other element of his life as part of his calling and therefore all under God’s control entirely. It has revolutionized his life and brought great peace and joy where there use to be stress and anxiety. Deceptive wages are temporal. A sure reward is the result of investing our time, career decisions, family and everything else in God’s calling and Kingdom. Sometimes the output from these two approaches can look alike for a while but before long one is tattered and worn while the other is refreshed and thriving. Today live for the eternal in all areas of your life. #BeTheEdge
