“The integrity of the upright guides them, but the unfaithful are destroyed by their duplicity.”
I once asked a staff who they were accountable to in her personal and spiritual life. Her response was “no one, the Holy Spirit and me are all I need.” Serious warning sign. It proved just how bad an idea that was a few months later. She was the second person in we see in this verse. The first person Solomon refers to is the mature follower of Christ with a fine tuned sensitivity to the voice of God and years of experience walking in His kingdom. No believer should travel this life on their own. We were built to travel life’s challenges and adventures with brothers and sisters in Christ. More specifically we are instructed to have accountability partners who keep us in check. Mine have helped God guide my journey for over 40 years. In this verse Solomon reinforces the fact that as we walk with God we learn what His will in our life looks like and can often discern it because we walk with integrity and a deep conviction to do things His way. Integrity is the key. That is to be honest and walk with strong biblical principles. Today walk boldly with integrity. #BeTheEdge
