Proverbs 12:3 NIV

“No one can be established through wickedness, but the righteous cannot be uprooted.”

I just returned from Sarasota Florida yesterday. Whenever I was not working on The Edge expansion into Tampa I was on the coast. My soul seems to find its greatest restoration on the water. During this particular trip I was able to connect with family. During many of those times I watched my youngest grandchildren playing in the sand. Without fail the youngest, 3 year old Harris who is a builder like his dad, would be in the midst of constructing a huge sand edifice. Also invariably one of his cousins or siblings would unknowingly knock it over during their own joyful play. He didn’t take it well. Kind of cute to watch. Jesus talks about what Solomon refers to in this verse when He tells us that foolish people construct their lives on sand foundations. Anything, say it with me, anything other than Jesus and His instructions that we trust to hold our lives together will fail. Not might fail but absolutely, 100%, without any doubt will fail. I won’t go through that list because it can be almost never ending. On the other hand, regardless of what marketers might try and convince you of, the life planted squarely on God will never fail. If it appears to, then you need to reevaluate your definition of failure. Today check your foundation and be sure it is solid. #BeTheEdge

“Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.” Jesus
