Proverbs 1:23 NIV

“Repent at my rebuke! Then I will pour out my thoughts to you, I will make known to you my teachings.”

This is a great promise if God that we also see in Joel 2 and John 7 that was fulfilled at Pentecost. It is the coming of the Holy Spirit. This verse is a promise from God that He will reveal Himself and His will to those who fear and follow Him. If we do that He will pour out His Spirit as well in abundance and freely. This is a great promise. All this begins with repentance. It always does. Repentance literally means to turn in the opposite direction and march away. You realize you are living or behaving exactly 180 degrees from God’s plan for your life so you do an about face and walk in His path for your life. We repent and He overwhelms us with His wisdom and desires for us. It’s not a complicated formula but it can be difficult. Sin and the pull of this world sink their tentacles deep into our spirit and God has to extract them. Again, it all begins with repentance. He does the rest. Today turn and take the first step in His direction then watch Him overflow on your life. #BeTheEdge

“From that time on Jesus began to preach, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has come near.”” Matthew‬ ‭4‬:‭17‬ ‭NIV‬‬
