Ten years ago today I was awakened by a phone call, which almost never means good news (the exception may be when a grandchild is born). But this particular morning, the woman on the other end said, “Mr. Flannagan, this is Jill at the Emory Transplant Center. Can you be here within the next three hours? We have your organs.” At that moment, I had been a type 1 diabetic for 40 years and was in end stage renal disease. That called begin a process that ended 24 hours later with a perfectly functioning kidney and pancreas and I was no longer diabetic. I suspect Jill goes to work every day excited about her job – wouldn’t it be great to bring that level of excitement to the lives you encounter every day? We can. God has called us to take His message of healing to hurting souls; joy and excitement to dark and broken hearts. Today, be that “faithful envoy” and watch your Father bring healing to those you encounter. #BeTheEdge
