I have really close friends who would certainly be considered wealthy. They are all Godly servants of our risen King. Solomon spends numerous verses warning and cautioning the wealthy. Here Solomon is actually affirming those who live with the burden of wealth, not that wealth is not a gift but when managing it as a responsibility entrusted to them by God it takes very real discernment. In over 45 years of non profit ministry I have watched these people bless literally thousands and in some cases even hundreds of thousands of people with God’s truth and power. That is a beautiful crown. They don’t do it for that reason but it is recognized here by Solomon. In today’s economy it takes very little to go beyond the average worldwide standard of living. Most of America, even our lower socioeconomic folks, live at a standard well beyond the 3rd world level. Right now there are men and women reading this devotion from the near east as well as the middle east and even a few dozen in the far east who read this by candle light. Hello Pastor Chanden and the rest of you in the Heal the Nation Network. All of us have the opportunity to be a crown wearer. This is a perfect time of year to discover a person, a family, a ministry of need. If you can’t, I can share some with you. Don’t waste the opportunity and join the fools ranks.
