“To humans belong the plans of the heart, but from the Lord comes the proper answer of the tongue.”
“”No Plan survives first contact with the enemy.” This quote has been attributed to Dwight Eisenhower, and Douglas MacArthur among others. I like the way Mike Tyson said it “Everyone has a plan ’till they get punched in the mouth.”” (Adirondacks) Just like yesterday’s, this is almost certainly a top 10 verse regardless of what is going on in our lives. God is always in control. This is not against planning. But, it certainly makes a strong case for the sovereignty of our God. It is an encouragement to make our plans but to hold onto them loosely. It reminds us that we operate, to the best of our abilities, with the knowledge that God oversees all. Whether we have opportunities or challenges He is there. This verse is a great reminder that if we walk faithfully in God‘s call, trusting completely in his wisdom and guidance, we can move boldly knowing that the ultimate outcome will be from His heart through our lives for His glory. And really what else could we possibly want. In the military they view the interruption of their plans a chaos. It often is. In our lives, under God’s sovereign design, we know it is a well orchestrated part of His plan for our journey. Today plan well and trust God. #BeTheEdge
