Proverbs 16:31 NIV

“Gray hair is a crown of splendor; it is attained in the way of righteousness.”‬‬

BibleRef says, “An Amish proverb states that “we get too soon old and too late smart.” Certain facets of wisdom only come by experience. Unfortunately, some people age more quickly than they mature. In prior eras, numerous factors led to fewer people surviving into old age. Those who did, however, usually acquired some level of wisdom.” That can be both humorous and sad. Sad to think of how many foolishly live in rebellion to their creator, never learning from the incredible depth of wisdom He freely gives. What a waste of a life. I know some of these people. You probably do as well. You can see in their eyes or in their face that they are nearing the end with a realization something big is missing. Or at the very least they seem aware that what they thought was wise is not particularly satisfying. As God’s followers age, while walking with Him, a deep peace and calm becomes their companion. Today, whatever age you are, purse God and pick up some wisdom and gray hair along the way. #BeTheEdge
