Proverbs 18:9 NIV

“One who is slack in his work is brother to one who destroys.”

“On January 5, 2024, a door plug panel blew off a Boeing 737 Max 9 Alaska Airlines flight from Portland, Oregon, to Ontario, California. The incident caused a gaping hole in the side of the plane, leading to a rapid loss of cabin pressure and the deployment of oxygen masks. The pilots managed to land the plane safely, and while no one was seriously injured, some passengers were hurt.” The ensuing investigation revealed that four bolts had not been installed when the panel or door plug was replaced. A whistleblower informed investigators that it was due to worker error. Can you imagine being a passenger on that flight? There was a loud explosion, followed by a powerful rush of wind. Had 60 more seconds elapsed, the plane would have reached an altitude where it likely could not have landed safely. Someone was slack in their work and almost destroyed every life on board. Unfortunately, this isn’t an isolated incident—there are countless stories where hurried work or lack of effort puts people and property at risk. God calls us to be diligent in every task we are given, understanding that our effort and excellence, or lack thereof, represent Him. Not only do the outcomes reflect Him, but the effort shows how seriously we take His calling in our lives. We work for Him. Today, work for an audience of One.#BeTheEdge

“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters,” Colossians‬ ‭3‬:‭23‬ ‭NIV‬‬
