“Desire without knowledge is not good— how much more will hasty feet miss the way!”

Guilty. Yep, I move pretty fast. Most of the time I get enough information to make the best decision. At times God has led in a direction and I move quickly. But, sometimes my enthusiasm gets out front of gathering details. In those cases I spend, probably better to say waste, time putting that decision back together or cleaning it up. Over the years I’ve learned, but I’m still capable of jumping quickly. Thankfully God has built a team of men and women, many on my board and advisory board, who I trust more than my instincts, so I have great wisdom speaking before I move. As a result The Edge ministry and many of my personal decisions have been vetted by an accumulated centuries of wise counsel. Solomon reminds us in this verse of the danger of both moving too quickly and moving without solid information and good counsel. Over the history of the world and more specifically, Christianity, we see very poor actions taken in haste. Some cause irreparable harm to those making the decisions and those affected by them. Today get wise counsel, be sure God’s hand is on your plans then move boldly. #BeTheEdge
