My investment strategy seems to be buy high and sell low. It’s proven very ineffective in wealth building. Seriously though there is nothing wrong with finding a good deal, a steal. Not long after my wife passed away I listed our house for sale. I had a realtor stop by and make a ridiculously low offer. His comment was, “Your wife died here. Let me take this place and that memory off y’all’s hands.” I countered his offer at $100,000 more than I had listed the house for. Solomon is talking about the person who intentionally rips someone off by paying below market value and turning around and bragging about it. They seem to pride themselves in convincing someone their item or business is not as valuable as it truly is and taking advantage of them. God is not honored in this type of business transaction. The wheeler dealer is also know as a cheat or at the very least not a good person. Their reputation is that of a cheat or swindler. We seem to reward that kind of person these days way too often. The most successful business people I know deal fairly and honestly. As a result others want to do business with them. Today be fair with others and reflect God’s kingdom principles. #BeTheEdge
