Proverbs 20:3 NASB

“Keeping away from strife is an honor for a man, but any fool will quarrel.” Proverbs 20:3 NASB

Pretty appropriate verse for today. Might I suggest a social media fast? If not that, how about a content fast. That is to say, what if today we only posted pics of our kids or grandkids. Maybe a few scripture verses you find particularly encouraging. What about a story of an historical figure whose life has had a great impact on where we are today? Here’s a fun one, I challenge you to find a really obscure fact that could surprise or otherwise entertain the reader. In other words, find a way to use your platforms to bless, encourage, and/or point to the eternal. As Solomon encourages in this verse, resisting the usual political, religious, and social strife in our daily struggle is honorable. We have the choice today, especially today, to stake out a path on the high road. Or not. It will be tempting to ‘go low.’ Just realize that although any fool will (and usually does) quarrel, God has called us to a higher place. The choice is yours. Today, choose to travel the high road with your King. #BeTheEdge

“O LORD, who may abide in Your tent? Who may dwell on Your holy hill? He who walks with integrity, and works righteousness, and speaks truth in his heart. He does not slander with his tongue, nor does evil to his neighbor, Nor takes up a reproach against his friend;” Psalms 15:1-3 NASB
