Like most of you I have seen news stories for months about the random crimes committed on innocent people in major cities. It is disheartening to say the least. There appears to be much more of it taking place these days. Crime in the past seemed a lot less random in nature. Maybe it was the influence of tv and movies but I felt like crimes were planned and carried out mostly by design. Now communities are victimized by purely evil people who just “crave evil” as much as anything else. Those are the most frightening kinds of crimes. There is very little to do to prepare for those types of criminals. Sure you can put in alarms, carry a gun, etc. but when evil is committed in random acts of violence communities live in fear. I have a dear friend who is the Principal of a school that was under attack by evil. The story is highlighted in the award winning documentary at www.LoveGoesPublic.com. When she took over she transformed the school. She will tell you it was her faith. When gangs threatened to kill her she responded that she could only die once and someone much bigger than the gangsters was in charge of that timing. Upon taking over the school she prayed about what God wanted her to do and she said He told her, “You take me in there.” And she did. Today live wisely but without fear knowing who is in charge of your safety. #BeTheEdge
