Time for a shout out to the kingdom. I want to tell you that Jesus followers are the most generous people in the world. And I mean more than just financially. There is no doubt God’s followers for the most part drive the the financial giving train in this country. However I see many of them putting their time and talents to work for those in need as well. With over 40 years leading Christian non profit ministries I have always marveled at the hearts of God’s people toward the poor. A critical Hallmark of the Biblical Worldview leader and company is that they are giving at their core. I occasionally hear preachers complain about the lack of tithing and volunteering in many congregations. Sure it could always be better but I’ve witnessed both government and kingdom giving and without a doubt God’s people lead. Albeit quietly but they are way ahead in amount of time and resources as well as spirit. A true follower of Jesus cannot possibly close their ears to the cry of the hurting in our world. If anything we tend to get overwhelmed by the amount of need. To handle that I take Andy Stanley’s advice to do for the one what you’d like to do for the many. Today stay generous kingdom dwellers. #BeTheEdge
