I certainly believe He often supernaturally imparts it through His spirit. However, he also expects His followers to pursue it through relationships with wise, godly people in our lives as well as reading and listening to wise people. At times it can be difficult to discern certain wicked peoples advice. Obviously if we know they are wicked we just avoid them but sometimes it can be very challenging to ascertain one’s heart. In those circumstances having access to Godly, wise counsel is critical. Possibly life saving. Even as an atheist Lewis was smart enough to listen to Godly wisdom.
