Proverbs 2:15 NIV

“whose paths are crooked and who are devious in their ways.”

This certainty sounds a bit like yesterdays verse. Obviously Solomon wanted to be sure his son was very aware of the dangers inherent in following the wrong people. Over the years I have watched both friends and family plead with someone they cared about to get away from a person they watched deceive and lead their loved one or friend toward a variety of possible bad outcomes through dishonest means. The end promised financial, social or, at times, even spiritual wins. It the path is crooked and devious there can never be a God honoring ending to the journey. This is ultimately a manipulative person who has evil intent. The opposite is the person who walks the straight path set out by God. The person who leads on this journey is a disciple of the resurrected Jesus with pure and kingdom motives at heart. Their goal is to see the one following their leading growing in obedience to God’s truth. Today chose who you listen to and follow carefully based on their submission to the Lord. #BeTheEdge

“And the things you have heard me say in the presence of many witnesses entrust to reliable people who will also be qualified to teach others.” 2 Timothy‬ ‭2‬:‭2‬ ‭NIV‬‬
