“Have I not written thirty sayings for you, sayings of counsel and knowledge,”
Jesus younger brother James wrote extensively about the promised wisdom of God. Here Solomon gives us the key to acquiring it. It is no great secret that God offers what He wants us to know in His word revealed by His Spirit. As we read what the authors wrote under His inspiration and allow His Spirit to unfold the meaning, especially as it relates to where we are in our journey, we will gain a depth of insight that has a supernatural source. Now that’s powerful. To help us not get hung up on figuring out what the 30 sayings Solomon refers to are, a better translation of this is “Have I not written you excellent things…” The obvious answer is, “Yes, you sure have.” Depending on the version you read there are approximately 31,103 verses in the Bible. There is not a bad one in the bunch. Each brings tremendous insight, counsel and knowledge. Today dive in. #BeTheEdge
