“Do not make friends with a hot-tempered person, do not associate with one easily angered,”
Stay clear of people with an uncontrolled temper. The implication in this verse is not only to stay away from these people in your personal relationships but also to stay away from them in business. If you think about it it is not that difficult to understand why a quick tempered person would not be helpful in building and leading in a business environment. Who wants to be around someone like that let alone manage or work for them. Solomon also wants us to realize that their behavior impacts us. There is a significant number of people currently in prison not because of what they did but because of who they were with when they lost their cool. Paul tells us that corrupt company corrupts good morals and that also goes for angry people. Angry people are seldom kind. They don’t often exhibit compassion or looking out for others. Angry people also often undermine their contributions to society or business. Angry people need help. Anger comes from fear and fear reflects an absence of love and the power of the Holy Spirit. Solomon is not judging people who wrestle with their temper. He is directing the Godly. Today avoid the angry and share God’s love. #BeTheEdge
