“Listen, my son, and be wise, and set your heart on the right path:”
This dad gets it. Of course since it’s Solomon, one of the wisest men to ever live, we are not surprised. Any God loving father or mother would certainly instruct their child to order their life, both their heart and their actions, on the Wisdom of the Almighty. Unlike Thoreau said, there are infinite paths. True they consistently diverge throughout life but one is God’s way and all the others aren’t. Choosing the right path can never be decided first by what we want or what feels best. It must always be discovered by first linking it up with God’s truth. No doubt His way can often seem right and feel right as well and when it does what a wonderful gift. Our priority must always be to align our steps with His calling on our life. This is about going the right way even when we are standing still. We travel in many directions in our thought life. From thoughts about others to lies we tell ourselves about who we are, they all need correcting by God’s wisdom. These thoughts become the motives for our actions. With God’s truth as our filter it will put us on the right path. Today be wise. #BeTheEdge
