Proverbs 23:9 NIV

“Do not speak to fools, for they will scorn your prudent words.”

I’m a learner and a teacher at heart. I love learning and sharing what I learn about a variety of subjects. As such I find it very frustrating when I am unable to communicate a concept or truth to someone. I use to believe everyone was as anxious to learn and understand as I am. It took years to come to terms with the reality that not everyone is like that. I truly believed that everyone with the capacity to learn wanted to. Over time I have recognized that some people really don’t. They are fully content in their ignorance. As a matter of fact some are even proud of it. Others just want to be right. Even if they are not they will shut out teaching that is contrary to what they want to believe. This explains many of the arrogant lost. I am not talking about those who just don’t know or who’s spirit has not yet been awakened. I’m talking about those who know better but their pride keeps them from accepting the truth of Jesus. When I discover a person who does not want to learn I stop trying to inform them. I quietly let them go on in their arrogant ignorance. Today offer God’s truth to those willing to listen and quietly pray for the others. #BeTheEdge
