“By wisdom a house is built, and through understanding it is established;”
My Myers Briggs personality type is INFP. I’m a mediator. I also make decisions based more on intuition and feelings than facts. A commentary I just read mentioned that 20 people a year are killed by cows. Some people acting on this fact will avoid cows all together. That is an emotional decision driven by a fact. Wisdom lets us know that the odds are against us ever being killed by a cow. The point of this writer is that we need to let God’s wisdom guide our lives. Emotions can be dangerous. They will lie and deceive us. Satan preys on our emotions. People guided by the spirit of God don’t fall for Satan’s lies and realize that our emotions lie to us about lots of things. Feelings are not evil. They are a gift from God. They can enhance and give flavor to our journey but they must be governed by wisdom. Durability in our lives comes from knowledge guided by God. I battle taking a fact, letting it overwhelm my feelings and guide my reactions. Over the years I’ve inserted three things into that process. I now pause, pray and search the scriptures for guidance and wisdom. Thats how an INFP needs to operate in God’s kingdom. Today check your motives and wait on wisdom. #BeTheEdge
