Proverbs 25:24 NIV

“Better to live on a corner of the roof than share a house with a quarrelsome wife.”

Peace in the family, Solomon expressed this same reality a couple chapters ago. Biblical history tells us that Hezekiahs’ scribes thought this was so important that they rewrote it here almost 200 years later. They are believed to have strategically placed it right between two verses having that deal with communication for a reason as well. We know that at the first Christmas God sent the savior. That is the most important message of Christmas. But, a close second is that He sent peace, The Prince of Peace to be exact. Our world needs a savior. It doesn’t take much to recognize that. But a glance at the news shows us that we are also in desperate need of peace. In many cases a closer look around us shows the need for that same peace in our homes. In our own spirit many are longing for the Prince of Peace and they often don’t realize it. They look outside themselves for that need to be met. Christmas is about the invasion of salvation and peace in our deepest inner being. Want peace in your relationships? Either go find a quiet corner on the roof or let the Prince of Peace, born that first Christmas morning, reign in your heart. Today choose His peace. #BeTheEdge

“For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” Isaiah‬ ‭9‬:‭6‬ ‭NIV‬‬

Have a blessed, peaceful and very merry Christmas!!
