“Do not boast about tomorrow, for you do not know what a day may bring.”
Dec 30th I had a car wreck. I was very blessed to be here on Dec. 31st. About two weeks later on Jan 15th I totaled another car in a bit more serious accident. A broken sternum and plenty of sore muscles made me even more thankful to be here on the 16th. Needless to say I’ve had a lot of time to ask God what He’s trying to teach me. I’m am more attuned to learning now than I have been since my wife, Jennifer, passed away. Not only do we confront situations daily that could dramatically alter our tomorrows, we pass by many without even noticing them. Maybe even more amazing then the life and death occurrences are the untold number of supernatural activities swirling around our story at any given moment. Each has the potential and very real ability to effect eternity. Why focus on tomorrow with so much dependent on our faithfully walking with and in God’s Spirit today? No doubt this verse is meant to keep us humbly focused on today’s calling but in a much larger sense it reminds us that everything is truly out of our hands yet in much bigger ones. Today live in faith and tomorrow will be just fine. #BeTheEdge
“Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.” Jesus
