Proverbs 28:1 NIV

“The wicked flee though no one pursues, but the righteous are as bold as a lion.”

Just as it is true, as my pastor use to say, that God’s will done God’s way won’t lack God’s blessing it is also true that when we choose to live outside Gods will look out. We see here and throughout scripture that when we are living in willful disobedience to God’s design for His children we live at great risk. We live also in great and well deserved fear. Another old Bible teacher drilled into me that I had a circle of protection in God’s will but that “hedge” of protection was removed when I chose to walk outside of it. Leviticus says that we jump out of fear at the rustling of a leaf believing our enemy is slipping up on us. We will always be looking over our shoulder wondering when our time of getting attacked is here. Conversely nothing frightens the obedient follower. We find great peace and security in knowing that nothing can get to us without passing through God’s protective grip first. As the old preacher said, “Satan has to come through the Father, then the Son. Next he must swim through the blood of our savior to find us filled up with His Spirit and after that swim you have a saved Satan.” A bit of theology soup but the point is that there is nothing for Gods children to fear when we are securely in the will and hands of God. Today stay there. #BeTheEdge

“I will make their hearts so fearful in the lands of their enemies that the sound of a windblown leaf will put them to flight. They will run as though fleeing from the sword, and they will fall, even though no one is pursuing them.” Leviticus‬ ‭26:36‬ ‭NIV
