“As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.”

If you know me you know this is a vital part of my life calling. It is the theme verse of The Edge ministry. Simplified it is essentially telling us that God intends for us to all help each other be better people. Obviously it goes much deeper. Things like the pain that can be part of this process, what dulls iron in the first place and why it needs sharpening all make for great messages. However, like so much of proverbs the simple truth is powerful. We are vital to helping each other. Not everyone appreciates or wants this sharpening process. Some even work very hard to avoid it. As Christ followers we have no choice. God’s commitment to conform us to the image of His Son demands refining, pruning (John 15) to get the edges off and reveal Him in us. Today get out there and let’s sharpen some iron. #BeTheEdge
