Proverbs 28:1 NIV

“The wicked flee though no one pursues, but the righteous are as bold as a lion.”

We are all guilty. Did you bow up after reading that sentence? Hey, relax. We are. If we weren’t we wouldn’t need a savior and believe me we all do. The difference between the wicked and the righteous is certainly seen in their fleeing or standing boldly but the basic difference is in their position with God. The wicked by definition stand on their own against Him. Their reaction of fleeing is justified although ineffective. Their guilt will find them out and catch up with them. The righteous know that they do not fight their battles alone. When Satan fell from heaven (check out Jesus words in Luke 10:18) he took one third of the angels with him. That means God’s army has satan’s outnumbered two to one. That’s who fights on our behalf. I have shared the story of the 5 year old child climbing up on the police traffic box in an intersection in Brazil. When the boy held out his hand the traffic immediately stopped. The boy most certainly did not have the power or authority on his own to stop traffic. It was the power, force and authority behind the position he stood in that brought the respect of the adult drivers and their powerful vehicles as they came to an abrupt halt. As Christ followers we move boldly, and at times ferociously, in His will because of Who we represent in our journey. Today live boldly in the power of your God. #BeTheEdge
