Proverbs 28:1 NIV

“The wicked flee though no one pursues, but the righteous are as bold as a lion.” Proverbs 28:1 NIV

Yesterday was Holocaust Remembrance Day.  Every year around that day I post a picture of four Israeli women soldiers. Above their picture was another picture of four older women walking in front of a group of others in a World War ll concentration camp. The older women are the soldiers’ grandmothers. The point of the picture is the courage passed generationally by these Israeli women. I share this photo yearly as an encouragement to my granddaughters of how fierce and courageous they are. Sin makes us weak, vulnerable and fearful. Cowards. Conversely, the righteous do not fear what they face. We know that for evil to get to us it must arrive with God’s permission and He will be there to face it with us. There are too many Believers who are living fearful lives these days. The main reason is because they don’t know, own, or stand on the promises, the truths, of who God is in their journey. The reason Joshua can call us to be strong and very courageous is not because he is such a brave, strong, and bold warrior, himself, but because He knows the God whom he fights for. More properly, he knows the God who fights for him. Today, find strength and courage to face whatever battle the world throws at you knowing who has ‘got your back’. #BeTheEdge

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” Joshua 1:9 NIV
