“Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is kept safe.”
Life can be hard. I once heard Steve Brown make the statement that for every non Christian that goes through bankruptcy, loss of a loved one, health struggles and even divorce, there is a Christian who does. The difference between being a follower of God or an unbeliever is not that Christians no longer face the hard things of this life. The difference comes in when the world watches how God takes His followers through the hard things verses going through them on their own. In this verse the writer is talking about an area where we are protected from attacks that the lost person is not. Satan has but three goals. He seeks to steal, kill and destroy. He hates everyone with a hatred unmatched by anything you’ve ever felt. He and his demons love to torment all people. When he comes at a believer he finds them filled with and surrounded by God’s Spirit. Scripture tells us Satan roams around looking for people to devour, destroy. As we walk in God’s presence and power we are protected. Today walk fearlessly in that safety. #BeTheEdge
