A recent Wall Street Journal article stated, “Humility is a core quality of leaders who inspire close teamwork, rapid learning and high performance in their teams, according to several studies in the past three years. Humble people tend to be aware of their own weaknesses, eager to improve themselves, appreciative of others’ strengths and focused on goals beyond their own self-interest.” Companies are now looking for good leaders who don’t seek the spotlight. The writer of todays verse is telling his readers that there are certain people who exhibit awful characteristics and this haughty and disdainful person is definitely one of the worst. The contrast between the follower of Jesus who realizes everything good about them is a gift from God and the person who believes their abilities and gifts are because of their own effort is very obvious. Whether lost or saved almost everyone would rather deal with the humble leader. Today recognize the source of your gifts and be humble. #BeTheEdge
