“There are three things that are stately in their stride, four that move with stately bearing:”
This is a picture of confidence. A lion and a king. The four listed all carry themselves like they own the world. I had a conversation the other day with the business owner who employs about 3000 people in his company. We talked about how so many of the younger employees don’t make eye contact or even look up when having a conversation with him. I worked with a high school principal who made it a priority to be sure every student she worked with walked with confidence, spoke clearly and projected a sense of respect for themselves and the person they were communicating with. God gives His children a humble confidence. That might seem like an oxymoron however when we understand our position as one of His followers it makes sense. We are a child, an heir, a son or daughter of the King of Kings. That should instill a great confidence in us. We also recognize that we are that only because He graciously reached down and rescued us out of the muck of our sin. That’s humbling. Together we carry ourselves as confident and humble children of the Almighty. If you want your children or your team to carry themselves that way help them grasp this very deep truth. Today live like who you are. #BeTheEdge
