There’s very little in life that is more admirable, impressive, and inspiring to see than a woman of strength in the midst of a battle. This first speaks to those times in life when God’s voice, deep in our spirit, speaks strength and power to whatever we face. That strength reminds us that no matter what we are facing or what we will face in the future, God is there, the battle has already been won, and we can walk into it knowing that no matter how frightening or overwhelming it may seem the victory is already ours. To laugh at what’s to come is almost too unbelievable to imagine. However, as followers of Christ we can live with that kind of certain assurance. What a gift. We live in a very uncertain world. A day does not go by that I don’t hear about a friend who is suddenly thrust into the midst of an almost unfathomable battle. It may be an infant that all of a sudden is facing a huge health struggle. It may be a business friend whose business is all of a sudden facing a major financial or HR issue. It may be a marriage that is blindsided by infidelity. The list goes on. It is difficult to believe someone could laugh in the face of what is to come in their life. That kind of laughter comes from a joy that understands that no matter what Satan or this world will throw at us God is prepared. Not only is he prepared for what’s coming, but he is prepared to turn it into a victory for the kingdom. Of course no one laughs when in these battles. Only the insane. But, confidence in God’s presence and control before is a source of great joy, power and peace. Today walk in the joy of knowing it is all in His hands. #BeTheEdge
